Rewriting History - Courtesy of the BBC

Reading this story on the BBC website, one would infer that the purpose of the Iraq invasion was to bring freedom to the Iraqi people.

Not a word in it about accusations of Saddam Hussein's alleged possession of weapons of mass destruction or links to al-Qaeda, both of which were touted by Bush & Blair as urgent reasons for invading Iraq.

No, this story makes it all seem like the whole thing was done to bring a dream of "Freedom" to Iraq.

Bull.

The Iraq invasion was based on lies. It was not about freedom for anyone except neocons and oil companies.


Shame on the BBC for parroting Bush's revision of history.
